K6 Architects

Founded in 2011 by Dipl-Ing. Architect Michael Kohnen and Dipl-Ing. Architect Christian Steinwachs K6 Architects plan office buildings, hotels and residential complexes. Moreover, K6 Architects also designs systems for airports and large-scale event locations and have successfully completed iconic projects such as the Benrath ice rink in Düsseldorf.

The architects have designed several hybrid timber projects. Their project Spark Berlin is currently under construction: this offers around 13,600 m² of flexible office and conference space on its 5–7 floors. The building with the striking element facade is being constructed using climate-friendly hybrid timber construction and will seek gold certification under the German DGNB standard.
